P. -asyati (rarely -asati), to, throw down together, place orﾠ put orﾠ lay together ṠBr. ;

to impose, put orﾠ lay upon, intrust orﾠ commit to (gen. orﾠ loc.) Mn. MBh. etc.;
to put orﾠ lay down, deposit MBh. Kāv. etc.;
to lay aside, give up, abandon, resign (esp. the world i.e. become an ascetic orﾠ Saṃnyāsin) Mn. MBh. etc.
